Directions for getting from RDU Airport to The Jameson Inn, Henderson, NC
- Follow signs to US 70 West. (From International Drive, veer left as it turns into E Aviation Dr/Commerce Blvd, then turn right on Lumley Rd, then turn left onto US 70 W towards Durham.
- Take US 70 West towards Durham (you will actually be travelling Northwest) for about 10 miles to Exit 285 (I-85 North/US-15 North)
- Take I-85 North towards Oxford/Henderson for about 34 miles to Exit 212 (Ruin Creek Rd)
- Turn Left at Ruin Creek Rd
- Take the first right onto N Cooper Dr. Arrive at 400 N Cooper Dr! Hotel will be on your left, it is white and three stories tall.

Directions for getting from The Jameson Inn to Lake O' The Woods Plantation
Recommended Directions:
- Head North on Ruin Creek Rd to I-85N/US-158E
- Take the first right onto 85N/158E
- Travel about 1 mile to Exit 214 (Hwy 39)
- Turn right onto W Andrews Dr (Hwy 39) after exiting at 214
- Stay in the right lane. Continue past Railroad Tracks and cross over Hwy 1. Food Lion will be on your left.
- Very soon after you pass Food Lion, turn left onto Vicksboro Rd. It will be hard to see the street sign, and there is no stop sign or street light. A Citgo Gas Station on the corner is the best marker of where to turn.
- Continue on Vicksboro Rd for about 21 miles (yes, 21, you read that right!). End at 1452 Davis Bugg Rd, Lake O' The Woods Plantation, on your left.
- There will be three stop signs along the way, the first two spaced about 10 miles apart, and the last only about 2.5 miles from the plantation. Vicksboro Rd may techinically turn into NC 1620/Lickskillet Rd after the first stop sign, but you probably won't notice and it doesn't matter, just keep heading straight through every stop sign!
ADVICE
- Be patient on Vicksboro Road!! If you have made it onto Vicksboro, then you will not get lost as long as you trust that you are on the right road and keep going straight for a very long time. You will feel like you are driving for a very long time (and you will be) without seeing any stop signs, but that is normal.
- Make sure you have a full tank of gas BEFORE turning onto Vicksboro. This is a serious country road with absolutely no where to stop, so fill up while you're in Henderson.
- Enjoy the scenery! You will pass by some very redneck looking homes and mobile homes, but a lot of the ride will include passing by horses, cows, tobacco plants, and other pretty cool staples of the South.
- You will in all likelihood NOT have cell phone service while in Warrenton, so make sure you print all directions you need and call us before driving out if you are nervous about anything!

- Use these at your own risk. These directions can be confusing to follow when actually driving, and involve a lot of turns in some very country areas (read: lack of signs, stops, and lights for the most part). Using the recommended directions involves a very easy drive that bypasses any turns in the country, though it may take 5 or 10 minutes longer.
- Head North on Ruin Creek Rd, take first right onto I-85N/US 158E
- Take 85N/158E about 7 miles to exit 220 (Norlina/Fleming Rd)
- Turn left onto US 1/US 158E
- Continue on US 1 for about 8.5 miles
- Turn right onto US 158 E/US 401 S. Veer slight right after about a mile as US158 E become US158 Business. Continue for about 3 mils.
- Turn right onto N Main Street.
- Take 2nd Left onto NC 58S/Macon St/US158BUS (dont you love how roads have 3 different names around here?) I believe this is actually a stoplight. You will be in "downtown" Warrenton at this point, which is actually really cute and has some nice little shops and diners.
- In half a mile, turn right onto NC 58 S
- In about 4 miles, NC 58S becomes NC 43 S. Continue straight for another 1.5 miles.
- Turn right onto NC 1507/Hugh Davis Rd. This turn will probably be hard to see.
- Stay on Hugh Davis Rd for about 3 miles
- Turn right onto NC1512/Davis Bugg Rd. Lake O' The Woods will within sight almost immediately.

Directions for getting from RDU Airport to our house (1008 Goldmist Ln, Durham, NC 27713)
- Follow signs to I-40 West. Stay in far right lane once you reach the first stoplight. The next right will take you onto the highway.
- Take I-40 West about 6 miles to Exit 278 (Highway 55). The exit is very short so be prepared to slow down rapidly.
- Turn left at stoplight onto Highway 55 (it is just a road, not really a highway)
- In about a half mile, turn left onto Carpenter Fletcher Road. Triangle Asian Imports Auto Shop will be on your left at the light.
- In about a quarter mile, turn left onto Crimson Creek Dr, then turn right onto Goldmist Ln (If you miss Crimson Creek, you may turn left at the next street, Copper Creek Dr, and then left onto Goldmist Ln). Arrive at 1008 Goldmist Ln!
